Skin conditioning: fig fruit extract contains natural sugars, acids and antioxidants that help skin feel soft and moisturised.

Islamic heritage

Quran 95:1: "By the fig and the olive." Surah 95 is named At-Tin, "The Fig".
This shows the honour given to the fig. It is not presented as medical proof.

Traditional use Traditional use

Traditional use: figs have long been eaten and used in folk remedies across the Middle East and Mediterranean.

What the research says

A small human study of a cream with 4% fig fruit extract measured lower melanin and sebum and changes in moisture over 8 weeks. A randomised, placebo-controlled trial in children tested a fig-based topical preparation for dry, itchy atopic skin.

Limitations, honestly

Studies are small and test specific preparations and concentrations, so results can't be assumed for every product containing fig. SHIFAH products have not been clinically tested for these outcomes.
