What it does

Skin conditioning: helps even out the look of skin tone and dark spots, supports the skin barrier and helps skin look smoother.

What the research says

Clinical studies found topical niacinamide reduced the look of hyperpigmented spots, yellowing and fine lines in ageing facial skin. A double-blind randomised trial compared 4% niacinamide with 4% hydroquinone for melasma and found good to excellent improvement with niacinamide, with fewer side effects.

Limitations, honestly

Studies test specific formulas over 8 to 12 weeks. Individual results vary, and these studies don't show results for SHIFAH products themselves.
